5.10 He's Our You

1. Tikrit, Iraq--a father tells his son to act like a man, he's urging his son to kill a chicken, his son says he doesn't want to, but he says to do as your father asks, he makes his son stay outside until he does, but the son's younger brother comes, puts his arm around him, he takes birdseed and feeds the chickens, then grabs one, snaps its neck, the father comes and congratulations his son on killing the chicken, says good for you, you did it, but the first son says that it wasn't him, the father realizes that it was his younger son who killed the chicken, he says at least one of you will be a man, the younger one is Sayid, the father says well done. Sayid in cell, a camera is focused on him, Security station, Ben comes in, he says hey Phil, says he brought another sandwich for him, Phil says he doesn't think it's the menu, he's just not eating, Ben says that Horace told him to, Phil asks why he cares, says that the guy is a hostile, Ben says that doesn't mean that he's not hungry, Phil says whatever.
4. Ben brings Sayid his sandwich, and a book, A Separate Reality, he says that he read it twice, it's good, Sayid says thank you, Ben asks if Richard sent him, asks he's his leader right, Sayid looks at the camera that is watching them, Ben says that it's just a camera, that they can see but they can't hear, Ben says that four years ago, he ran into the jungle, and Richard found him, he said he wanted to leave, that he wanted to join them, so he's been patient, and if Sayid is patient too, he thinks he can help him. 5. "Did Richard send you? [Sayid turns to look at young Ben.] Richard. He's your leader, right? [Sayid looks up towards the surveillance camera and makes a small nod in its direction.] It's just a camera. They can see, but they can't hear. Moscow--man running through door, in apartment, someone is chasing him, he locks the door behind him, goes in another room, security code, opens a safe, Sayid busts the door down, points his gun at him, the man offers him money, Sayid shoots him anyway, with a silencer on the gun, he leaves, it's night, he goes through a gate, Ben is waiting, Sayid says the man tried to bribe him, that it didn't work, Ben says of course it didn't, Sayid asks where to now, Ben says nowhere, that he's done, Sayid asks what he means, Ben says they're done, Andropov was the last one, he says that Sayid has taken care of everyone who posed a threat to his friends, he says that it's been a pleasure working with him, Sayid says so that's it, he killed all those people for him, and now he's just walking away, Ben says he didn't kill them for him, that he's the one who asked for all those names, Ben says that there's no one else in Widmore's organization that they need to go after, he says congratulations, mission accomplished, Sayid asks what does he do now, Ben says that he supposes he should go live his life, he tells Sayid that he's free. 8. Radzinsky and Horace meet with Sayid, Horace tells him to put out his hands, he cuts off his handcuffs, Sayid says thank you, Horace says it's nice to finally hear your voice, says his name is Horace, now is the part where you tell me your name, he says he needs Sayid to tell him what he was doing out there, Radzinsky says to ask him about the model, Horace says he has it, he says those handcuffs, asks if he's having some kind of problem with his people, because either he's having some sort of disagreement, which makes him want to help, or he's a spy trying to infiltrate them, Horace asks Sayid so which is it, Sayid doesn't answer, Horace says he'll give him an hour, to decide whether he wants to talk to him, but if he decides he doesn't want to, then he's going to have to take this to the next level.
9. Sawyer comes into the kitchen, which has bacon burning on the stove, Juliet looking out the window, Sawyer asks what's on the TV, Jack and Kate are outside the window, Juliet asks if it's over, she says isn't it, this, us, playing house, all of it, says they never actually thought they'd come back, Sawyer says it hasn't changed anything, Juliet asks what if Sayid says something, Sawyer says he won't, he says he has this under control, there's a knock at the door.
10. Horace says he just spoke to the prisoner, that they have a problem, La Fleur asks why, what did he say, Horace says that he said nothing, which is what worries him, he needs him to tell why he violated the truce, he's going to have to have Oldham do his thing on him La Fleur says that psychopath, no way, Horace says that it's his only choice, La Fleur says to let him have a go at him, he'll talk to him.
11. Security station, La Fleur tells Phil to take his lunch, Phil asks if he's going back there alone, La Fleur tells him to leave, he asks Sayid how he's doing, Sayid says that a 12 year old Ben Linus brought him a chicken salad sandwich, asks how does he think he's doing, Sayid asks how he could live with him here, Sawyer says he doesn't have a choice, Sayid says is that so, Sawyer says to see how you feel after three years of living in the 70s, that it's lucky for him, he spent that time getting in a position to save his ass, he says sorry to Sayid, then hits him, he says he's going to tell them that he got a confession, he needs them to believe that he didn't get it easily, Sayid will say he was trying to defect, that he'll offer intel in exchange for living with them, Sayid asks why in God's name would he want to do that, Sawyer asks what the hell else he's supposed to do with that, Sayid says to let him go, asks him why not, Sawyer says these people trust him, either he cooperates and joins the party, or he's on his own, Sayid says then he guesses he's on his own.
12. "These people trust me! I've built a life here--and a pretty good one. I let you go, all that goes away. So you got yourself a choice, Chief. Either you cooperate and join the party in DHARMAville, or you're on your own." Sawyer
    
13. In the DHARMA cafeteria, Geronimo Jackson poster on the wall, Hurley with food, he brings Jack and Kate breakfast, dipping sauces, he's a DHARMA chef, he asks them what's going on with Sayid, Jack says that he doesn't know anything yet, Kate says that he was at Sawyer's last night, Jack says he told him to leave him alone and let him do his job, Hurley asks if he's going to, Kate says she'll talk to Juliet, see what she'll tell her, Hurley asks why Juliet would tell them anything if Sawyer won't, Kate asks why, Hurley says because they're together, like living together, like not as roommates, together like Jack and Kate were, he says that he thought it was kind of obvious, who couldn't see that coming, Jack stops him, Hurley says he's going to make some more waffles, Kate asks Jack if he knew, he says yeah.
    
14. Roger Linus cleaning up Security station, talks to Sayid, he says that he can't figure out how the hell he got caught, that his people are supposed to be smart, and how dumb is he that he got captured by these idiots, Sayid says and yet he's the one mopping up after them, Roger says he'll see how cute he is once Oldham gets done with him, Ben comes in with food, sees his dad there, says he was bringing him a sandwich, Roger says he's never made a sandwich in his life, Ben says he made one for himself, Roger grabs him, hurts him, Ben says he made sandwich for him, Roger asks who told him, Ben says he just thought, Roger tells him to go home, that he'll tell him what to think.
15. Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic--Sayid working on houses, Ben shows up, Sayid asks how he found him, Ben says he looked, Sayid asks what he wants, Ben says that John Locke is dead, that he thinks he was murdered, Sayid asks why anyone would kill him, Ben says that he'd say it was retribution for the work they did, so then Sayid is in danger, if he can find him, so can the people who found Locke, just like they're watching Hugo, he says that a man in a Sedan has been there all week, just waiting, presumably for Sayid or him to show their faces, Ben says that's why he's there, Sayid says he actually came all this way to suggest that he kill this man, Ben asks if he doesn't want to, Sayid says what makes him think that he wants to, Ben says because he's capable of things that most other men aren't, that every choice he's made in his life, whether it was to murder, or to torture, hasn't really been a choice, that it's in his nature, it's what he is, he's a killer, Sayid says that he's not what he thinks he is, that he doesn't like killing, Ben says that then he apologizes, that he was mistaken about him. In a DHARMA van, Horace, Radzinsky, Phil, take Sayid out of van, music is playing, a tent, fire, Billie Holiday, they call Oldham out, ask if he's ready, Sayid asks Sawyer who is that man, Sawyer says he's our you, Oldham comes out, takes out a needle, injects something into a sugar cube, possibly some kind of LSD, he says they'd better put him in the restraints, they handcuff Sayid to a tree, he fights them, Oldham says don't worry, they're for his protection, he says there are side effects to what he's giving him, he tells them to open his mouth, he puts the sugar cube in, they force Sayid's mouth closed, Oldham tells Sayid not to be afraid, to turn his mind off, and let it take effect, he says that it's beyond his control, so fighting it is a poor use, whether he struggles or not, one thing is for sure, he will tell them the truth. Back at the Long Beach Marina, Ben tells Sun that there's someone here in Los Angeles, that he take to them there, that it's the same place that will tell them how to get back to the island, Kate asks if that's what this all was about, says he's insane, that they're all crazy, Ben asks where Sayid is going, Sayid says that he doesn't want any part of this, and if he sees them again, it will be extremely unpleasant for them both.
21. Sayid in a restaurant bar, a woman comes to sit down, it's Ilana, she asks if they have a menu, Sayid asks for another MacCutcheon, please, she asks what's that run him, Sayid says excuse him, she says that scotch, what does a glass run him, Sayid says that whatever it is, it's worth it, Ilana says she doesn't understand why anyone would pay $120 for a glass of anything, Sayid says if she knew what his drink costs, why she asked him, she says the same reason she's eating her dinner at the bar, instead of at a table, she says she'll have the rib-eye bloody, Sayid asks if she's a professional, Ilana says a professional what, asks if he thinks she's a prostitute, she says she's not a professional anything, she just thought he looked sad, and she likes sad men, Sayid says he's sorry to hear that, she moves closer, she says so other than drinking alone at bars, what he does, for a living, Sayid says that he's between jobs at the moment, Ilana asks what did he do, Sayid says it was the only thing he was ever good at, she asks then why did he quit, he says he's trying to change, she says that she knows why he's sad now, that when you are that good at something, there are always going to be people who tempt you into staying the same, Sayid asks how she knows so much about temptation, Ilana says to buy her a glass of that scotch and she'll tell him. Horace talks to Sayid, Oldham says he's going to ask him a few questions, that he wants him to relax and answer them truthfully, not that he'll have any choice about it, Oldham asks what is your name, he says Sayid Jarrah, Oldham asks why was he in handcuffs when they found him, he says because he is a bad man, Oldham asks was he running away form his people, Sayid asks what people, Oldham says the hostiles, he says he is not a hostile, Horace asks then where did he come form, Sayid says that he came on a plane, Oldham asks what plane, Sayid says it was Ajira Flight 316, and that's how he returned to the island, Oldham says returned, asks Sayid if he's been there before, Sayid says the first time he was on Oceanic Flight 815, he says he was there for 100 days and then he left, he says to ask Sawyer, Oldham says who's Sawyer, Radzinsky says who cares, to asks him about The Flame, Oldham asks Sayid what he knows about their stations, Sayid says he knows The Flame was a communications station, The Pearl was to observe other stations, The Swan was to study electromagnetism, but of course, that was before the incident occurred, Radzinsky wonders how he could know the name of The Swan, they haven't even built it yet, he says that he told them he saw the model, he knew it, he is a spy, Horace says to cool it, Sayid says they're all going to die, gong to be killed, Horace asks how exactly he would know this, Sayid says because he's from the future, Oldham says maybe he should've used half a dropper, Sayid laughs, says he used exactly enough. 29. They show up with Sayid at the barracks, bring him back to Security.
30. They have a meeting, Horace asks what they do with him, Radzinsky says they kill him, La Fleur says hold on, that they're not killing anyone, Horace says that he violated the truce, La Fleur asks since when did they start acting like them, he says that they're civilized, Horace says they are, that they have a rule of law, and they've given him every opportunity to defend himself, Radzinsky says he's seen things, that he's obviously a spy, La Fleur says he was escaping, that he obviously has problems with his people, Radzinsky says and sharing secrets are the quickest way to solve those problems, Horace says he's going to need a little time to consider, Radzinsky says the longer he's among them, the more danger they're in, La Fleur says he can talk to him, that he just needs more time, Radzinsky says he had his time, tells Horace they need to vote, make a decision, either that or he'll call Ann Arbor, and they'll make it for them, Amy says Radzinsky's right, she tells Horace please, that she can't sleep with one eye open, they have a baby now, they have to think about Ethan, they have to think about all the children there, she asks how are they going to feel safe with this man around, she says that she doesn't know what he's up to, but they can't keep him there, she says that they have no choice, Horace says okay, he says that they'll put it to a vote, he says all in favor of Radzinsky's solution, to raise their hand, everyone raises their hand except La Fleur, Horace says he'd really like to say it's unanimous, La Fleur raises his hand begrudgingly. Sayid and Ilana making out, she says just for the record, she was really just having dinner, he asks if she's afraid he'll get the wrong idea, she says she thinks it's too late for that, Sawyer holds her boot, Ilana says to take it off, but she kicks him in his face, they fight, she pulls a gun on him, says if he so much as flinch and he's dead, she says that he asked earlier if she was a professional, she is, that she was hired to bring him to Guam, Sayid asks who hired her, she says the family of Peter Avellino, the man he killed in cold blood last year, on a golf coarse, he asks if she's a bounty hunter, Ilana says it doesn't matter what she is, that he's going to answer for what he's done.
33. "Who hired you?" Sayid "The family of Peter Avellino--the man you killed in cold blood last year on a golf course in the Seychelles." Ilana "You're a bounty hunter?" Sayid "Doesn't matter what I am. You're going to answer for what you've done." Ilana

Sawyer visits Sayid in his cell, tells him to hit him in the face, that he owes him one anyway, so make it a good one, Sawyer says he'll take his keys out of his pocket, let himself out, that Phil is outside, he tells Sayid he's a dimwit, that he reckons he can get his gun without him noticing, Sayid says that he appreciates what he's doing, but he's fine right there, Sawyer says they're going to kill him, they took a vote, that even a new mom wants him dead, Sayid says that he's going to stay here, calls him James, Sawyer says this morning, he was begging him to let him go, Sayid says because, when he woke up in the jungle, and he realized he was back on this island, he thought there was no purpose to it, but now he knows why he's here, Sawyer says to get shot, says he's out of his mind, he leaves.
35. "Because...when I woke up in the jungle and I realized I was back on this island...I felt there was no purpose to it. But now I know exactly why I'm here." Sayid
36. Sawyer goes to Kate's house, asks her why she came back, he says that Sayid just fulled his ears with some crap up his damn purpose, and he wants to know, why they came back, Kate says she doesn't know why everyone else came back, she just knows why she did, they hear a noise.

38. A DHARMA van comes barreling through the barracks, on fire, crashes into a house, sets that on fire, Kate and Sawyer go to rescue, Kate pulls people out of the window, Sawyer goes to the water hydrant, tells people to grab the hose, wrenches, fire gear, asks for help, Jack comes, Sawyer says three years, there were no burning buses, and they're back for one day, Jack uses a hose to put out the fire, Sawyer gets another one, calls Phil at Security on his walkie, La Fleur, they have a fire, to get to building 15, Phil hears on his walkie, says he's on his way, he leaves the Security station unmanned. 40. "I really hate it here. If I let you out...will you take me with you, to your people?" Ben "Yes, Ben, I will. That's why I'm here." Sayid

At LAX, attention passengers, Ajira Airways Flight 316, Sayid with Ilana, asks her if she's sure they're going to Guam, where else would they be going, Sayid sees Hurley and Jack, asks her a favor, sees Kate waiting to board the plane, he asks can they get the next plane, he says that he's very superstitious when it comes to flying, Ilana says she'll buy him a rabbits foot at the gift shop, Sayid sees them all on the plane, Ilana says that she's sorry about the handcuffs, but at least they're in business, they hear someone say wait up, please, thank you for not closing, Sayid sees Ben get on the plane, asks Ilana if she's working for Benjamin Linus, she asks who that is, Sayid says that he's a liar, a manipulator, a man who allowed his daughter to be murdered to save himself, a monster just short of genocide, Ilana asks why she would work for someone like that, Sayid says that he did.
42. "Are you working for Benjamin Linus?" Sayid "What?" Ilana "Are you working for him?" Sayid "Who's Benjamin Linus?" Ilana "He's a liar, a manipulator...a man who allowed his own daughter to be murdered to save himself...A monster responsible for nothing short of genocide." Ben opens up Sayid's cell door, they leave the Security station, run through the jungle, Ben follows Sayid, a van pulls by on the path, Sayid tries to hide Ben, but the van stops, Jin gets out with a flashlight, Sayid sees him, Jin asks what he's doing here, how he got out, Sayid says that Sawyer let him go, that they were going to kill him, on walkie, Phil says that the prisoner escaped, to be on the lookout, he could be armed, Sayid says they don't know that Sawyer released him, please, he needs to keep moving, Jin says okay, let him talk to him first, he calls La Fleur, says it's Jin, but Sayid knocks Jin out, Ben is surprised, says whoa, asks where he learned to do that, he tells Sayid to come on, that they'd better go, Ben says he called La Fleur, Sayid takes Jin's gun, tells Ben that he was right about him, that he is a killer, Sayid shoots Ben in the chest, even seems somewhat remorseful about it, Sayid cries, then takes off. Namasté, Initial Reaction

There were a lot of little touches/payoffs in this episode. While I liked it, I've been finding myself a little, shall we say, lost, in these past few episodes. I started to wonder why that was, and I couldn't figure it out at first, but then I realized that most of my favorite characters have hardly been in these episodes, or even, in this season all that much. We have no idea where Desmond is or what happened to him and/or Penny and little Charlie. Sayid can be seen on screen but has said little to nothing this entire season. Locke has spent a lot of time dead. And although I like Sawyer as a character a lot, and do enjoy how much his character has grown and developed throughout the series, I'm spending too much time anticipating the impending doom of Kate making a move on him to enjoy it as much as I want to.

• Is Christian Shephard dead or alive? Can we just find out already?
• How did smokey get into the barracks?
• Who appeared behind Sun when Christian was talking to her? Was it Claire?
• Why are there Dharma props in Othersville in the future?
• Was the purge somehow avoided in the past?
• Is Sayid going to kill young Benjamin Linus?
• Why doesn't Ben remember Sayid in the future? Or does he?
• Where is Annie? Is she still on the island at this point?
• Where is Daniel? Is he dead or did he leave the island?
• Why was Radzinski designing The Swan station? Has the incident happened yet?
• What happened to Radzinski? Is he really dead? Did he actually kill himself or was he murdered by someone? Did Kelvin know this?
• Why didn't Sun, Ben and Locke travel back in time to the 70s with the others, Jack, Kate and Hurley?
• Why is Sun in the present?
• Has Ben already spoken with Richard Alpert at this point in the 70s?
• Where the hell is Claire?
• Where the hell are Rose and Bernard and the other red shirts?
• Where the hell is Vincent?!
• How is Ethan's last name Rom and not Goodspeed?
• Has the future been changed by something that happened in the past?
• What were the whispers saying?
• How did Ben know that they had to build a runway?

Notes:

• It was really cool to finally see Radzinski, however, I was a little disappointed with his character.
• Sawyer calling Jack out was long overdue. Sawyer is a better leader than Jack ever was.
• Juliet making Kate sweat to show her who's in charge and with Sawyer now was also overdue.
• I'm a little confused with Radzinski designing The Swan station. Okay, so he designed it. He was part of the Dharma Initiative. So, then, why would he need to "trick" the system to fake a lockdown and draw a blast door map of the stations on the island that can only be seen under a black light? This just doesn't make sense to me. Shouldn't he already know about all the stations considering he's actually designing one? Shouldn't he have a map of the island and know where they all are? Why would he need to keep notes on all of it?
• Ethan is Amy and Horace's son, very nice touch. I still don't see him being 27 years old in 2004 though.
• I'm so glad Frank Lapidus is back, though I'm kind of missing the goatee and Hawaiian shirt.
• Jack is a workman. Priceless.
• Juliet and Kate are mechanics. Also priceless.
• Apparently the numbers transmission can be heard as the Ajira Airways plane is going down, though I'm going to have to go back and give that one a second listen.
• Also, what kind of pilot do you think Lapidus is? He landed that damn plane on the runway.
• Phil is really annoying. I hate that dude.
• Sun knocking the snot out of Ben was awesome.

I could really do without the lame love quadrangle. Please, just stop. With that said, I'm getting more and more excited about this season. It seems as if the momentum toward the finale is building with each episode and it feels as though something big is going to happen soon. I just hope it's not both Sayid and Desmond dying.

3.16 One of Us

1. Sayid, Kate, Juliet, Jack going back, stop at a stream, going to camp for the night.
2. Jack and Kate go to collect firewood, Jack says he made a deal with them, if he took care of Ben, they'd let him off the island, he did what he was supposed to do, didn't ask questions.
3. Juliet says let's have it, Sayid questions her while they have a moment alone.
4. "I want to know what you people are doing on this Island. Why you're terrorizing us. Making lists. Kidnapping children. I want to know everything. But the first thing I'd like to know is, who are you?" Sayid
5. Juliet, driving up to Mittelos Bioscience, Downtown playing in the car, Rachel is with her, Ethan gets her bags, Richard Alpert tells Rachel they're borrowing her sister for a few months, Juliet is worried about leaving her, but Rachel says the cancer is gone, she's pregnant, Juliet says she'll be back before she gives birth. 6. Juliet says that if she told him who she was, everything she knows, he'll kill her, Jack says to leave her alone, but Sayid says sooner or later, she'll answer his questions, Jack says she's under his protection, that she'll answer questions when she's ready.
7. Claire is sleeping, while Aaron is crying, she doesn't hear him, Charlie comes to help, Claire doesn't feel well, Charlie watches Aaron, she goes back to sleep. From Lostpedia

Hurley approaches Juliet sitting alone on the beach, he talks to her, asks if she's one of them, says he doesn't remember her from the dock, when the put bags over their heads, shocked them, Juliet says she had off that day, he asks if she's a doctor, she says that she's more of a researcher, he says that the last one of them who was there, Ethan, the he kidnapped Claire, then Charlie got upset, and he points out where they buried Ethan's body. Jack wants everyone to trust Juliet, Sawyer wants Sayid to question her, but Sayid says he doesn't torture people anymore, but that he doesn't trust her, if she's innocent, why wouldn't she answer his questions, Jack says to give her time, she's afraid, tells them that Locke went with them, destroyed the sub that was going to take him off the island.
20. Claire is bleeding, she collapses in front of everyone.

Juliet says she can help Claire, that she did it to her, her immune system is turning on her, it's a reaction to the medication in her blood stream, designed by her to keep her alive, during late stages of the pregnancy, women there can't have babies, mother's body turns on the pregnancy, treat it as a foreign invader, every pregnant woman on the island has died, until Claire, Ethan infiltrated their camp right after the crash, took blood samples, Claire didn't conceive on the island, but her symptoms were consistent with the previous mothers, the kidnapping wasn't supposed to happen, he improvised, kidnapper her, it was never the plan, without the injections, she would've died, she needs the serum, Ethan kept a stash of medical supplies near the caves, she can get them, Jack says go.

Juliet looks at x-rays that Karl developed for her, leaves to go tell Ben he was a tumor, he's reading Carrie by Stephen King, Juliet asks why Ben is scared, he told her no one on the island ever had cancer, said he curer her sister, says he lied to her, asks if he can cure cancer, then why he has it, wants to talk to Rachel, wants to go home, Ben says Rachel is fine, he told her the truth, gave her his word, he says no.
24. Juliet finds the hidden medical stash by a tree, with the same marking the Others gave her on her back, Sayid and Sawyer show up, they followed her, they want answers.
25. "You know its interesting, that you two are now the camp's moral police. I'm curious, Sayid, how long was it before you told everyone on that beach exactly how many people you've tortured in your life. Do they know about Basra? And I'm sure the first thing you did when you got here, James, was to gather everyone in a circle, and tell them about the man you shot in cold blood the night before you got on the plane. Ben tells Mikhail to up-link to Richard in Arcadia Park, Ben says it's live, Richard shows her a newspaper, dated September 22, 2004, Rachel with her son, Ben says 2 years ago her cancer went into complete remission, gave birth to a healthy baby boy, named him Julian, Juliet wants to go home, Ben says when her work is finished, Juliet says there are no more mothers, Ben says they'll find more, maybe even one on the plane.
28. Juliet comes back with the case and the serum, Jack tells Charlie he trusts her, to trust him, she gives Claire a shot, says they'll see results in a few hours.
29. Jack says if it doesn't work, he won't be able to protect her anymore, she'll be on her own.
30. Charlie watches Aaron, Claire wakes up, she's okay.
31. Jack brings Juliet some supplies, he says they're all good people, willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, but he says that eventually they'll need answers, Jack says he trusts her because she wants to go off the island, that she's one of us.
32. "You were there. You were standing right next to me when that submarine exploded. In that moment, I saw it in your eyes. You wanna get off this Island more than anything else in the world. That makes you one of us." Jack

Juliet and Ben talk, going over a plan, he tells her to drag Austen to the jungle, handcuff herself to her, tell her she was gassed too, admit it if she catches her in the lie, only want to earn her trust, go back to the beach with them, Ben says he activated the implant in Claire, symptomatic within 48 hours, crisis for her to solve, hide case at Ethan's old drop-point, tell Jack she can save her, he'll see her in a week.

1. Sawyer sees everyone carrying the ping-pong table, Hurley says Jin found while looking for firewood, they made legs, paddles and now all they need is a ball, it must've landed in the jungle when the hatch exploded, Sawyer says that he thought it collapsed.
2. Sawyer wants his Guns and Ammo magazine back from Paulo, but he says that they share things now, while carrying it wrapped around a roll of Dharma toilet paper.
3. Sayid says they're still heading North, bearing 305, Locke senses a lack of confidence, Sayid says they've been walking for 2 days following a compass bearing from Eko's stick, Locke says it's the only bearing they have.
4. Sayid is picking fruit, he hears a bell, finds a cow, a house, sees the eye patch man, calling the cow to him, it's another station.
5. Sawyer has a ball, challenges everyone to ping-pong game for his stuff back, pick their best man, they say no nicknames for a week if he loses.
6. Sayid circles the house, he says there's nothing but jungle surrounding it, there are horses, cows, fenced in, a satellite dish on top, Sayid says a dish of that size would have broadcasting capabilities for thousands of miles. From Lostpedia
7. Sayid asks Danielle if it's the radio tower, but she says no, she's never seen it before.
8. Kate asks Sayid where he recognizes the man with the eye patch from, Sayid tells her The Pearl video feed, the only way to find out who he is, is by asking him, if he's unarmed, he won't feel threatened, they cover him.
9. Rousseau says she has no interest on the man inside the house, that she survived by avoiding encounters, that she'll wait by the stream for those who survive.
10. Sayid is a cook, going by the name Najeev, meets a man named Sami, says he's Syrian, but Sami says he's Iraqi too, wants him to work for him because his chef quit, they're in Paris.
11. Sayid approaches the house, with his hands up, there is a horse, saddled, stirrups, a grey cat catches his attention, the eye patch man shoots Sayid, says he didn't cross the line, it's his land, they said he could stay there. Sayid tells him his name, he's not who he thinks he is, says he was on plane that crashed months ago, that he's unarmed.
12. Locke and Kate approach the house, tell the man to drop the weapon, he surrenders. He asks if they really crashed there, Sayid tells him over 40 of them did, Kate asks who he is.
13. "My name is Mikhail Bakunin and I am the last remaining member of the DHARMA Initiative."
14. Mikhail takes a look at Sayid's gunshot wound, spent time in Afghanistan, had experience with field medicine in the Soviet Army, tells Sayid his story while Locke and Kate investigate the station. Kate goes in the kitchen, while Locke sees a computer with a chess screen, "Ready to play? Y/N," he presses yes, the computer tells him it's his move. From Lostpedia
15. "I grew up in Kiev and joined the Soviet Army. I was stationed at a listening post at Vladivostok. After the Cold War, after we lost the Cold War, my unit was decommissioned. Mikhail says the Dharma Initiative all dead, initiated war against hostiles, the purge, didn't participate in it, likes being alone, after the war was over, 4 men appeared in the yard, they offered a truce, line around the alley, do not cross, he'll be left alone, they took 2 cows, never saw them again, satellite hasn't functioned for years, the hostiles were there a long time before Dharma Initiative.
17. Mikhail removes the bullet from Sayid's arm.
18. Sayid goes to see Sami at his restaurant, Sami greets him, introduces him to his wife, Amira, she says it's him, Sayid is attacked by Sami and his men.
19. Mikhail has a cat named Nadia, after Nadia Comaneci, greatest athlete the world has ever known, they have the same birthday. Mikhail stitches up Sayid's wound, he offers them some iced tea.
20. Locke plays chess on the computer, Mikhail says he's been playing it for 10 years, it's been programmed by 3 Grand Masters, and it cheats.
21. "Well, I’ve played a lot of computers and I’m pretty sure they don’t know how to cheat. That’s what makes being human so distinctly wonderful." Locke
22. Kate questions why they'd leave Mikhail there all alone, with the equipment, but Sayid says that it makes perfect sense, that Mikhail is one of them, and he's not alone.
23. Sawyer plays Hurley in ping pong, gets schooled.
24. Sayid says he noticed thick wires when he walked around the station, Mikhail says that it's the hub, they go around to other stations all over the island, Sayid asks if they go underwater, Mikhail says there's underwater beacon that emits solar pings to help guide in the vessels, submarine, Dharma Initiative used it to bring them there, hostiles have either destroyed or decommissioned it by now, Sayid says that explains how they were able to get around his position and capture the sailboat, lost it to them, killed one.
25. Mikhail wonders why they're playing a game, Sayid fights him, Kate and Locke draw their guns, Mikhail surrenders and they tie him up.
26. Sayid is being held prisoner by Sami, who brings him water, says he was a torturer in Republican Guard, he victimized his wife, Amira, arrested, harbored an enemy of the state, held for 3 months while she was questioned. Sami wants him to admit what he did, but Sayid only admits who he is, Sayid Jarrah, was in the Republican Guard, was an interrogator, but says he doesn't know Sami's wife, he can remember every face, Sami says his wife remembers, wants him to admit or he will kill him.
27. Sayid says Mikhail is not alone, the horse is still saddled, for someone much shorter. Locke says that he's checked everywhere, but Sayid reveals a trap door under a rug. From Lostpedia
28. Sami brings his wife into the room, Sayid says he didn't know her, wouldn't touch a woman, wouldn't admit to something he didn't do, bu Sami says Amira admitted to something she didn't do and he poured boiling water on her arms and hands, he beats him badly, but Sayid won't admit to torturing his wife. Amira says that's enough for today.
29. Sayid and Kate go underground, while Locke watches Mikhail, the entire place is wire with C4, Sayid finds Dharma Initiative Operations Manuals. From Lostpedia
30. Locke beats the chess game, you win, checkmate, a video begins with Dr. Marvin Candle, "Manual override complete. For pallet drop enter 24. For station uplink enter 32. For mainland communication enter 38." Locke enters 38, "The satellite dish is inoperable. Communications are down. For sonar access enter 56." Locke presses 56, "Sonar is inoperable. 31. Kate finds a rack of DHARMA jumpsuits, Ms. Klugh pops up from behind it and attacks Kate, Sayid stops her, Kate says it's her, she was there at the dock. Sayid asks if there's any more of them there, but Ms. Klugh is silent.
32. They bring Ms. Klugh upstairs, Locke and Mikhail have disappeared, they are now outside, where Mikhail has a gun on Locke, he wants to do a prisoner exchange.
33. Mikhail and Klugh speak to eachother in Russian. Klugh says Mikhail knows what to do, but he says they have another way out, she says they can't risk it, but he says no, she says he knows the conditions, they captured them, can't let them get into the territory, he knows what to do, it's an order, Mikhail says that there's still another way, but Klugh insists, he says to forgive him, pushes Locke and shoots her, but Sayid has his gun on Mikhail, who tells him to do it already, to finish the job, to kill him. 34. Hurley beat Sawyer badly in ping pong, tells him his mom had a table in her basement, played a lot in the instu--this place he hung out at, gives him back one of his Playboy magazines, tells him that Kate's going to be okay, she's with Locke and Sayid.
35. Locke is looking at the computer again, Kate is downstairs, Sayid questions Mikhail, who admits he wasn't a member of the Dharma Initiative, but says that everything else was true. Rousseau wants to kill him, but Sayid says they're collecting whatever is useful from the house, they have a ticket to where the Others live, they can find her daughter, Jack and maybe a way home.
36. Mikhail says that he won't help them, but Sayid has a map to the barracks. From Lostpedia
