From Lostpedia
- Eko climbs to the top of the cliff, but he says that he doesn't see anything, he then discovers a spot on the ground where nothing is growing, he sees a question mark in the ground there, like the one from the blast door map and Locke's drawing, the ground is salted.

From Lostpedia
- The Dharma Initiative, Station 5 of 6, The Pearl, Dr. Mark Wickman, monitoring station for other Dharma Initiative projects, observed and recorded, observation for 3 weeks with a partner observing psychological experiment in progress, of another station, The Swan, not aware of the experiment, record everything in notebooks, subjects believe their jobs are important, place notebook in container and insert in pneumatic tube, it will be transported to them, 8 hour shifts, then proceed to the Pala Ferry, where they will be taken back to the barracks, tape made in 1980.
- Eko collects the notebooks, papers, the log print out in the station because he thinks they may be important, he tells Locke that he thinks the work he's been doing in the hatch is more important than ever, Locke says it's not real, it's a joke, that they're rate in a maze with no cheese, Eko says that they're being tested, that they don't do it because of the film.
- "We do it because we believe we are meant to. Isn't that the reason you pushed it, John?" Eko
- Eko is at the Sydney Airport, Flight 815, Gate 23, Charlotte shows up there, says that she saw Yemi when she was between places, he said that Eko would come to see her, that Yemi wants Eko to know that he will see him soon.
- "He says you were a good priest." Charlotte
- Eko shouts at the girl, and Libby asks if everything is alright.
From Lostpedia
- "He has faith in you. One day you'll believe me."
- Eko tells Locke about Yemi, about the plane he was on, both planes crashing on the island.
- "This cross was worn by my brother, Yemi. Yemi was a great man, a priest, a man of God. And because I betrayed him he was shot and died. He was placed on a plane which took off from an airstrip in Nigeria half a world from here. Then, the plane that I was on crashed on this island. And somehow, here, I found my brother again. I found him in the same plane that took off from Nigeria. In the same plane that lies above us now, that has concealed this place. And I took this cross from around Yemi's neck and put it back on mine, just as it was on the day I first took another man's life. So let me ask you--how can you say this is meaningless? I believe the work being done in the Hatch is more important than anything. If you will not continue to push the button, John, I will." Eko
- Jack tries to ease Libby's suffering while Hurley tries to talk to her.
- "I'm sorry I forgot the blankets." Hurley
- "Michael." Libby dies trying to warn them, with a look of pure terror on her face, while Jack tries to assure her that it's okay, that Michael survived.
- Jack closes Libby's eyes while Hurley cries, Kate cries and Sawyer comforts her, the alarm goes off, Eko and Locke walking through the jungle, returning, Michael in the armory, the prompt on the computer monitor in The Swan.
- Was Charlotte Malkin really dead? Was she on the other side? Did she see Yemi?
- Is Richard Malkin really psychic? Was he telling Eko the truth?
- Was Locke's original dream of the beachcraft meant to lead him to The Pearl?
- Who occupied The Pearl station?
- Is it real? Is there a psychological experiment being observed on the people in The Swan station, or is it really on those in The Pearl? Was the information that was recorded used for anything?
- "Well, ain't that swell, Gimpy McCrutch over here covers up that the Artist Formally Known as Henry Gale tried to strangle your little amiga, and suddenly it's on me when she goes vigilante." Sawyer
- "Your map in inexact." Eko "No kidding." Locke "These landmarks, is that a river?" Eko "No, it's a wavy line." Locke
- "Would you like to watch that again?" Eko
- Ana had the gun, and as far as Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Locke know, "Henry" attacked her and took the gun, then shot her, Libby and Michael, yes? Well, if that were true, then why would Ana be sitting on the couch, relaxed, shot in the abdomen? Why does no one question this? It confuses and angers me that no one would be suspicious of this situation until later, when Sayid, the man of reason and intelligence, knows that Michael has been compromised. Where is the CSI? It is quite clear that none of what Michael claimed actually happened.
- When Eko has a dream to follow and knocks Locke out and he wakes with Eko sitting next to him, it is reminiscent of when Locke experienced, the dream he had of the beachcraft, which also ties him to Eko, and what he did to Boone in Hearts & Minds.
- The autopsy tape, from DarkUFO: Doctor: This is a Caucasian female. She's 161 cm, 51.3 kilos, body prepped and washed by the very lovely Valerie McTavish. Assistant: Ian, stop it. Doctor: Commencing with the post. Whisper: That's her (or), That's enough. Doctor: This is a clear case of drowning. I'll begin with a thoracic. Charlotte Malkin: John! (screaming)Whisper: She's alive. Whisper: How will we know? Assistant: Oh my God! Doctor: Valerie!Assistant: She's Alive! Doctor: I think she's trying. Charlotte Malkin: Let John Locke go (on)! Whisper: She's not dead. Whisper: I found it. Doctor: Try and calm down (Assistant screaming stop, stop). Doctor: Valerie get.. she's crying, don't just stand there do something! Whisper: We’re sending them in (or), Let’s hear what she says.
- Dr. Marvin Candle appeared in The Swan Orientation film, but appeared as Dr. Mark Wickman in The Pearl Orientation film, where he also no longer has a prosthetic left arm as he did in The Swan Orientation, which suggests that The Pearl was made first.

1.09 Solitary
- The photograph that Claire gave Sayid while looking through the luggage is of Nadia.
From Lostpedia
- It's been 2 days since Sayid left the group.
- Sayid follows a wire on the beach and is captured by French woman who then tortures him and asks where Alex is in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian.
From Lostpedia
- "16 years? Has it really been that long?" Rousseau
From Lostpedia
- "Alex? Who is he?" Sayid asks Rousseau.
- "Nadia? You left her too?" Rousseau "She wasn't on the plane. She's dead, because of me."
- Rousseau shows Sayid a music box from her love, Robert, and Sayid says he will fix it if she tells him about herself, answers his questions.
From Lostpedia
- Her name is Danielle Rousseau. She was part of a science team. The vessel was 3 days out of Tahiti, the instruments malfunctioned. It was night, there was a storm, sounds, the ship slammed into the rocks, ran aground, the hull breached beyond repair. They made camp, dug-out a temporary shelter, and survived nearly two months before the others got sick coming back from the Black Rock.
- Sayid asks if she's seen other people on the island. She says no, but that she hears them in the jungle, that they whisper.
- "You think I'm insane." Rousseau "I think you've been alone for too long." Sayid
- "There's no such thing as monsters." Rousseau leaves the bunker, Sayid takes her maps.
From Lostpedia
- "Robert didn't notice it was missing either when I shot him." Rousseau "But you loved him." Sayid "He was sick." Rousseau
- "You're older than your years." Nadia, to Sayid.
- Nadia's photograph, on the back, "You'll find me in the next life, if not in this one." Sayid says he's been holding on for 7 years to the thought that she still may be alive, which would make it 1997, after the Gulf War.
- "Alex was my child." Rousseau
- Sayid hears the whispers in the jungle on his way back to the caves.
- How did Rousseau learn so many languages? If she knew so many, then why did she put out the transmission only in French?
- Why does Sayid say that Nadia is dead? The last thing he knows before he gets on the plane is that she is, in fact, alive. He is going to see her. Why would he say she's dead because of him?
- Where did Sayid and her team get all the supplies from to build their shelter?
From Lostpedia
- Why does it seem like Rousseau was more military than from a science team? She has army-like fatigues and rifles.
- Why is the needle Rousseau uses on Sayid so dull? What was she using it on?
- What is the sickness? Why did Rousseau kill her team?
- How was Alex taken? How does Rousseau know there are other people on the island, but she's never seen them? How could they take Alex without her seeing them?
- What is the monster? Is it really a security system?
- How did Rousseau not hear the plane crash on the island? This occurred at the same time as the system failure and the whole island shook.
- Does Rousseau know what the monster is?
- Why does Sayid leave Nadia's photograph?
- What are the whispers?
- Sullivan, the hypochondriac, and Jack as usual acting like he has more important things to do, because everything Jack does is important!
- "Dudes, we're lost on an island! Running from boars, and monsters, freakin' polar bears!" Hurley "Polar bears?" Michael "You didn't hear about the polar bear?" Charlie
- "Are you playing golf? Can I play?" Sullivan
- "Doctor playing golf? What's next, cop eating a donut?" Sawyer
- "No, it's a mulligan. Mulligan. It's a gentleman's sport." Charlie
From Lostpedia
- Locke giving Walt the knife.
- The first time we see Ethan. He hunts with Locke.
- Rousseau calls her team "the others," which is funny now because we know there are other others, but at first it was used from Rousseau and the beach camp referring to their people.
- This episode is the introduction of other things on this island.
- The whispers from Lostpedia: (Male Voice) "Just let him get out of here" (Male Voice) "He's seen too much already." (Male Voice) "What if he tells?" (Female Voice) "Could just speak to him." (Male Voice) "No."
- Also from Lostpedia: David Fury revealed in the first draft of the script, "there was an exchange (pitched by J.J. when he and I broke the story) in an early draft of “Solitary” when Rousseau tells Sayid she had been part of a research team. Sayid asks her what they were researching. She replies: "Time." The network saw that draft and asked us to remove the line. They were very timid about anything that smacked of Sci-Fi during the first season."
